Specific Need Grant
Specific Need Grants are one-off payments made to residents of Flitwick who are experiencing hardship and who need immediate help to fund, or partially fund, a specific piece of equipment or aid essential for everyday living. In the past, Specific Need Grants have been made to Flitwick residents to help purchase basic microwaves, washing machines and contributions towards carpeting and mattresses.
Each application is reviewed by the committee of trustees and awards are made at their discretion depending on funds available to the charity at the time of the application. The amount of funds available for Specific Need Grants varies each year depending on the charity’s income.
The trustees aim to give as timely a decision as possible to any application.
